You can usually find us dancing at the ol' Roundhouse, Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 Brush St., Las Vegas, NV 89107. Brush St. runs north from W. Charleston Blvd. and the Arts Center is at the first traffic light west of S. Decatur Blvd. (on W. Charleston Blvd.). The center has an excellent large wood dance floor and a large wall mirror. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
A "Just Dance Party" is held every 4th Wednesday of each month. These evenings feature announcements but no teaching, no reviews, and no meetings.
In addition to weekly posted and regular dances on Wednesday, the ETHNIC EXPRESS schedules a Dinner and Dancing night out on the town at various ethnic restaurants. These Dinner and Dancing events also rotate, but monthly, at ethnic restaurants including Afghanistani, Bulgarian, Cuban, Greek, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Thai, Turkish, etc. Some may drop out of rotation and some may be replaced by newly opened establishments.
Nearly every week, in season, a Crew Member brings homegrown fruits or vegetables to the regular Wednesday evening dance. This is the ETHNIC EXPRESS Farmers Market. Some folks keep us supplied with cookies, candy, and whatever too! Romaine starts to bring black figs in early summer, about the time Connie's apricots are done ripening. Ilene provides apples in season.
