We do dances from all over the world. We teach, review, do request dancing, have dance events, go on special excursions, and just socialize. We also put on small, low-key dance performances and dance workshops at schools, community festivals, and other local venues. All members are invited to participate.
Beginners are always welcome and you don't have to bring a partner. There is no age, expertise, or gender barrier.
We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the ol' Roundhouse, Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 Brush St., Las Vegas, NV 89107. Brush St. runs north from W. Charleston Blvd. and the Arts Center is at the first traffic light west of S. Decatur Blvd. (on W. Charleston Blvd.). The center has an excellent large wood dance floor and a large wall mirror.
However, from July 6, 2016 to about May 6, 2017, we will meet at the East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101 because the Charleston Heights Arts Center facilities will be expanded and renovations made that require about 9 or 10 months to complete. The East Las Vegas Community Center is located at the south-east corner of Stewart Ave. and N. Eastern Ave.
The cost is $3.00 per evening for Crew Members, $4.00 for Passengers. Yearly membership dues for individuals are $10.00 (a savings of more than $40.00 each year for Crew Members!) or $15.00 for families.
Please come join us. You'll have a great time!
